More than a week actually…the nine days between the 21st May and 29th May have traditionally been held as a Novena (nine days) of prayer for Oblate Vocations. From the Feast of the Founder, St Eugene de Mazenod to the Feast of Blessed Joseph Gerard, the whole congregation of the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate and the wider De Mazenod Family joins in prayer for vocations.
This year we are grateful to the Associates of the Lacombe Province in Canada for assembling a series of prayers and reflections to use over the next nine days. We encourage you, either personally or in community, to pray this novena and ask the Lord of the harvest to send labourers into his harvest.
