A small group of teachers from Mazenod College WA and Iona College visited the Bangladesh Delegation from April 6-10, 2024.
The visitors were Damian Wallis, Kate Anne and Suzanne Michelle, along with Fr Joe Antony OMI, an Indian Oblate working in Australia who was one of the pioneers in starting the West Bengal Mission.
The purpose of the visit was to experience the Oblates’ missions and to plan student immersion programs for 2025 in Bangladesh. Australian student immersion programs are in place for Sri Lanka, India and China, and Fr Christian Fini OMI started exploring the inclusion of the Bangladesh Delegation during his 2023 visit.
The visitors went to the Delegation House in Dhaka, St. Eugene’s School, Baridhara, St. Eugene’s Mission School at Khadim, Lokhipur school, Borlekha parish, the Oblate Juniorate and caught up with Fr Dominic Rozario OMI who served in Melbourne, 2017 to 2020.
